Privacy Policy

GoInsureWise LLC ("GoInsureWise," "we," "us") is an independent insurance agency headquartered in Sandy, Utah. This policy explains what personal information we collect through goinsurewise.com and our related forms and communications, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a quote, book a call, apply to join our agency, or contact us, we collect what you enter. Depending on the form, that can include your name, phone number, email, ZIP code, state, date of birth, coverage interests, household details, and answers you choose to give (such as tobacco use, current coverage, military service or licensing status).

Information collected automatically when you submit a form. To keep accurate records, prevent fraud and document your consent, we record:

• the page and form you submitted, the first page you visited, and the website that referred you;
• campaign details in the link you used (such as UTM parameters and ad click IDs);
• the date and time of your visit and submission;
• your IP address and the approximate location derived from it;
• your device type, operating system, browser, screen size, language and time zone;
• the exact consent language you agreed to and its version.

Cookies. We use first-party cookies to remember how you arrived at the site (landing page and campaign details, kept for up to 90 days) and a session identifier that ends when you close your browser.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — for example which pages are viewed and how many people submit a form, use our calculator or tap to call. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and receives your IP address, which Google uses for approximate location and does not store. We configure it so that we never send names, phone numbers, emails, dates of birth, ZIP codes or form answers; Google signals and ad personalization are turned off; and we don't use it for advertising. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Google Analytics doesn't load at all. You can also block it with Google's opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We don't use advertising cookies or ad-tracking pixels; if that changes, we will update this policy and provide cookie controls before doing so.

Information from others. If you call us, we may keep a record of the call, and some calls (including Medicare calls, where required) are recorded. Insurance carriers may share underwriting decisions and policy information with us when you apply.

How we use information

• To contact you about the insurance products or agent opportunities you asked about, and to provide quotes, applications and ongoing service.
• To connect you with a licensed agent who is appointed through GoInsureWise, and — when you ask — to submit applications to insurance carriers.
• To keep records required by insurance, telemarketing and other laws, including records of your consent and any opt-out.
• To prevent fraud, secure our systems, troubleshoot and improve the site.

We don't use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. Insurance carriers make their own underwriting decisions.

How we share information

• Licensed agents appointed through GoInsureWise, including agents who work with us as independent contractors, so they can contact and help you. They must follow our privacy, consent and compliance requirements.
• Insurance carriers and their underwriters, when you ask us to quote or apply for coverage.
• Service providers that help us operate — such as our CRM, hosting, analytics (Google Analytics), phone, text-messaging, email providers — under contracts that limit their use of your information to serving us.
• Legal and regulatory requests, to comply with law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our clients, agents or others.
• Business transfers, if our agency is merged, acquired or reorganized, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information to other companies or share it with other companies for their own marketing.

Text messaging. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties, except service providers that operate our messaging on our behalf.

Sensitive information

Some answers — such as health, tobacco use or military status — can be sensitive. We use them only to provide the quote or service you requested and as required by law. Insurance information we collect may also be protected under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and state insurance privacy laws, and is handled under those rules.

Your choices and rights

• Calls, texts and email: reply STOP to any text, tell any agent to stop calling, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us at (801) 833-0416 or [email protected]. We honor opt-out requests promptly and within 10 business days.
• Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale, sharing or targeted advertising for that browser.
• State privacy rights: depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of sales, sharing for targeted advertising, or profiling. To make a request, visit Your Privacy Choices or contact us. We'll verify your identity using information you've already given us and respond within the time required by your state's law. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response; we'll explain the outcome and how to contact your state attorney general.
• No discrimination: we won't deny service, charge you more or treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Data security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, including encryption in transit, access controls and vendor contracts. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we'll notify you as required by law.

Data retention

We keep information as long as needed for the purposes above. Records of your consent and opt-outs are kept for at least five years, and insurance records for as long as insurance regulations require. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We'll post the new version here with a new "last updated" date, and we'll tell you about material changes before they apply to information we already have.
